Mistakes People Make in their Stance and Set-up
1. Golfers tend to have too much of a reverse K look in their stance. Instead start with a little bit of tilt in your shoulder, you will get to that reverse K at impact
2. Players tend to aim too far right (right hand golfer) or too far left (left hand golfer). They will get in their stance, look at their target but when they are looking, they are looking over their shoulder. If you have to look over your shoulder to see where you are aiming, then you are aiming in the worng direction. To make sure you are aiming correctly you should only have to tilt your head forward to look at your target.
3. Players will have a straight line from your arms all the way down to the end of their club. Instead you want relax your wrist so that the form an obtuse angle with your club.

4. Lots of beginner golfers have early extension in their stance, meaning they put their bum too far out. This will cause for a very unbalanced backswing and downswing. A way to fix this is lining up against a wall with one club width seperating yourself from the wall. Take your set-up stance and if you bang the wall then there is too much extension
5. Some players will have too wide or too small of stance, this won't allow your maxium rotation to occur causing you to lose power and mobility. So make sure your feet are just about shoulder width apart.

Review of the Set-up
The set up is another weird thing about golf, there aren't many sports where you find yourself in the stance you have to create to have a good golf shot. The set up is crucial for having an accurate shot, you can have the perfect swing but if your stance and set-up weren't good it is not going to go where you want it to go. Having an accurate shot is more important than having a shot that goes far, you have to work on your swing from the ground up. Ball position is something that needs to go on notice for beginner golfers to step their game, not having a proper ball position will cause the ball to not have the proper flight and not be accurate.
